About
I am an Auckland-based photographer with 25 years experience in photography across a wide range of subjects including people, architecture, food and lifestyle. I'm also a keen cyclist and music lover which has led to some interesting personal work. I am currently working on Oakley Creek, an ongoing project exploring the creek and its surrounds over four seasons. Oakley Creek (also known as Te Auaunga) is one of Auckland’s longest urban streams, flowing from Hillsborough through Mt Roskill, Owairaka and Waterview to the Waitematā Harbour. The creek’s rich Māori and European heritage, and abundance of native and exotic flora and fauna makes it an important natural asset. Some of the key strengths that I have gained from my experience is the ability to adapt to any situation with calmness and confidence both in terms of the technical aspects of a shoot and working collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcome for the client. My role with clients is to work with a brief that can be very precise but still allows my creative input and interpretation. A quick turnaround of images is often required and I have good technical skills to produce completed files suitable to their purpose, rather than outsourcing this part of the job. Clients include Cuisine magazine, Next magazine, Idealog magazine, Australian Womens Weekly, The NZ Listener, Box Living, Origami Brand Agency, The Selwyn Foundation, Terra Group Consultants, Pastrami & Rye, The PR Shop, Good Health magazine, Zeffer Cider, Solo Cycle Clothing, Radio NZ. Please get in touch to discuss any projects. You can contact me on 64 021 137 0942 or email me at tonynybergphotography@gmail.com, or use the contact box below.
